La cola de gente rodeaba todo el supermercado y se extendía hasta por una cuadra de la entrada principal. Yo, la verdad, pensaba en mis adentros que por qué no le compraba la harina al bachaquero de confianza, que además me podía vender hasta paquetes completos y ahorrarme la cola. Pero el tema no era el precio, el tema era conseguir ese tesoro, que te lo vendieran en un supermercado a precio regulado y no a precio bachaqueado. Era una cuestión de honor decir que las arepas que te estabas comiendo las habías logrado con el sudor de tu frente en una cola de dos cuadras. Así las arepas sabían distinto, sabían a esfuerzo, sabían a que estabas haciendo algo útil por el país al no dejarte bachaquear.
